Autistic Multi-Instrumentalist Dale to Perform at Milton Keynes Disability Awareness Day Celebration
Visitors to this year’s Milton Keynes Disability Awareness Day (MKDAD) 2026 celebration will be treated to a special musical performance from Dale, an autistic vocalist and accomplished multi-instrumentalist who will take to the stage at the MK Rose in Campbell Park on Tuesday 14 July as part of the city’s annual celebration of disability, inclusion and community.
Dale’s performance perfectly reflects the ethos of MK Disability Awareness Day, which celebrates what people with disabilities can achieve and the valuable contributions they make to the community.
A talented musician who plays seven different instruments, Dale has a lifelong passion for music and performance. Alongside his father, he is actively involved in a wide range of charity and voluntary work, using music to bring people together and support local communities. On this occasion he will perform with disabled pianist/vocalist Melody Woman.
Speaking about his performance, Dale said:
“Hi. I am Dale. I am a vocalist and a multi-instrumentalist. I am also autistic. Dad and I are involved in lots of charity and voluntary work. Many of the songs we play were taught by my Dad’s Welsh grandmother, who also played and sang music hall songs. It’s so lovely to be able to go out and play these wonderful songs.”
Dale will be one of a number of performers appearing at the MK Disability Awareness Day Celebration Event, which takes place from 12 noon until 2.30pm at the MK Rose, Campbell Park. The free, open-to-all event will feature live performances, workshops, activities and a relaxed bring-your-own-picnic atmosphere, welcoming residents from across Milton Keynes to come together in celebration of disability awareness and inclusion.

Milton Keynes Disability Awareness Day is delivered as a co-production project involving charities, organisations, businesses and community groups from across the city. A programme of inclusive activities and events will also take place throughout the week leading up to 14 July.
