New loyalty scheme rewards Hospice shoppers
A new loyalty scheme launched during Secondhand September will give Willen Hospice shop customers the chance to save money while they support sustainability and vital care for the local community.
The new ‘MyWillen’ scheme is running across all of the Hospice’s 15 shops, within Milton Keynes and in surrounding areas such as Towcester, Buckingham and Woburn Sands. Customers can pick up a loyalty card, made from recycled plastic and costing just £1, to get started.
For every £1 shoppers spend at Willen Hospice stores, they’ll get 1 point added to their MyWillen account. Each time they reach 20 points, they’ll get £1 off their bill (*exclusions apply) as a reward for supporting the Hospice.
As the national Secondhand September campaign returns, with more and more people pledging to only buy secondhand clothes during the month, the Hospice is hoping its loyalty scheme will draw in new customers looking to shop sustainably.
Willen Hospice provides free expert care and support for local families coping with the devastating impact of a life-limiting illness. Running its services costs £11 million each year – more than a quarter of which is funded by the Hospice’s shops.
Ian Palmer, Associate Director of Retail for the Hospice, said: “We have a fantastically diverse range of shops, and such a loyal base of customers – many of whom may not realise the difference they’re making by shopping with us. With every visit, they are helping to keep the Hospice open and make our care available for the local people who need it most. That’s why we’ve decided to launch our MyWillen loyalty scheme, as a thank you for customers who want to support a local cause when they buy secondhand clothing, furniture, vinyl and so much more.”
