DESCRIPTION:Our famous carnival parade leaves Blakelands\, lead by our very own Carni Croc at 12 noon. The parade travels through the town\, past a huge and supportive crowd and down onto Riverside Meadow. \nEvery year thousands of people line the streets to cheer\, support and donate pennies to all of the parade entrants. What’s more\, they do it whatever the weather! \nThe entrants always invest a lot of time and effort into putting on a great show\, raising money and awareness for local charities\, groups and businesses. Every year we encourage people to donate generously\, cheer loudly and capture the fun in photos in true Carnival style. \n  \n

Presenting a world-class\, multi-arts programme the Festival includes new commissions\, site-specific and community participation projects\, large-scale/outdoor and family events\, concerts\, theatre\, dance\, music and visual arts installations. \n\n\nEngaging over a million people in seven previous editions (2010 – 2023)\, the Festival takes place in locations across Milton Keynes\, including parks\, public squares\, commercial and retail spaces\, as well as in the online and digital realm. \nThe Festival is supported by Arts Council England and Milton Keynes Council\, and also raises funds through trusts and foundations and partnerships with individuals and businesses.
