SUMMARY:Olney Pancake Race
DESCRIPTION:The historic Olney Pancake Race takes place on Shrove Tuesday 13 February 2024. \nThe town has played host to the race over many years; it’s reputed to have taken place since 1445 and has certainly run every year since 1948\, except for 2021. It attracts female runners who live or work in the town – dressed in a skirt and head scarf and clutching their frying pan and pancake\, they run the 415-yard course from the Market Place\, down the High Street to the race finish outside St Peter and St Paul’s Church. \nAhead of the race itself\, there are lots of activities taking place in the Market Place\, starting with a special pancake breakfast\, prepared by local chef\, Ben Francis from the Cherry Tree Pub and Restaurant. With stalls\, even more pancakes\, music\, a grand raffle\, plus races for local nurseries and school children\, there will be something for everyone. \nAll the runners join visitors in a Shriving Service which is held in the church immediately after the race.

DESCRIPTION:Being able to visit the home of Red Bull Racing is a truly incredible opportunity that will allow you to peek behind the curtain into the extremely secretive world of F1™. \nOur tour starts in the MK7 events space with all of the actual race cars throughout the history of Red Bull Racing. The tour then visits many different departments and is designed to present the inner workings of the machine\, taking in the various developmental stages\, all the way to the point where thousands of components are brought together in our race bays to create the latest Red Bull Racing car. \nDepending on the date and timing of your visit\, there may be engineers in the operations viewing area\, important parts being created in machine shop or race cars on the floor\, either being stripped after the previous race or prepped for the next. You could also see where the race crew use our mock-up of the pitbox and a mule vehicle for pitstop practice. \nPlease note: Children under the age of 12 are not permitted.
